Larissa and I corresponded via-email before meeting for her hair and makeup trial in NYC. We discussed different style options, her gown, and her vision. Larissa also forwarded me a picture of herself so that I could start creating her wedding day look When I arrived, she of coarse was completely prepared with all that I asked for. Needless to say the trial went well and Magda’s Designs has the great pleasure of working with Larissa and her family for her big day!
Netsai and I arrived in the am, we began by setting everyone’s hair. While the ladies relaxed with there sets we began the process of makeup application. Everyone had there own style and kept the makeup pretty soft and clean. Larissa’s MOH wanted the eyes a bit more intensified so we accomplished the look by creating a smokey eye, using different depths of plum and enhancing the lash line with strip lashes, and finalizing the look with a sexy nude lip by Too Faced. (Which by the way has become my favorite lip color to use when I am out on the town.)
As for the stunning Bride, classic and understated is the best description. Larissa explained that she did not wear a lot of makeup and did not want to do so on her big day, I completely agreed. The makeup complimented the natural shape of her eye by placing the taupe and crème colored shadows on her lid and blending them into the crease of the eye. I highlighted her brow bone with a white shimmer and built up her lash line with single lashes. By creating a strong lash line the eye looks bright and open. Her hair complimented her natural curl pattern. I simply smoothed and redefined each curl, pinning sections of hair into place creating a low, textured chignon.
