The Woolverton Inn set the perfect scene for our Bohemian styled photo shoot. The woods and rustic style grounds mixed with the expertise of some the wedding industries top experts landed us a feature on 100 Layer Cake!
The soft brown and antiqued gold eye palettes were the inspiration behind the makeup looks for these two models. Shading the eyes with soft neutral earth toned shadows by Bobbi Brown, and blending in antiqued gold for a soft highlight brought out the amber tones in each of the models eyes. By intensifying and or softening the hue, the eye shadow was customized to each model. Eye liner was kept minimal and was just used on the upper lash line, placed in between each lash. Cheeks and lips were kept in a soft apricot and peach tone. This helped the skin pick up the natural bronzed undertones of the skin.
The hair had a soft and effortless look. Each of the hairstyles were set for 30 minutes and taken down giving the hair and natural wave with body. Each model then had a different braid woven off to one side. The fishtale was chosen for the model with the longer hair, due to the texture and length of the hair, and the other had a human hair extension that had been braided and pinned into place. To further soften and texturize the look, we finger combed the curls. The hair was then sprayed with a Kenra #9 workable spray. This allowed the hair to keep its natural wave, never looking sprayed or harsh.
